Pretty wild right? This is the new version of the La Clef du Temps watch. From "La Clef" to "La Cl§Ú§Ø," funny enough they both mean "the key of time." Cartier Calibre Multi Time Zone Watch
I was very interested in this watch because it was more than just another nice mechanical movement that showed the time in a funny way. This new world time watch (Multi Time Zone) in the Cartier Calibre collection has some neat features. My favorite is the city selector disc placed on the side of the case. These are usually very ugly looking and clutter up dials. For fun Cartier gave the watch something interesting they call a "jet lag indicator. This is a more "simple" Jaquet Droz watch with an annual calendar and a quirky moon phase indicator. Called the "Eclipse," it comes in a 18k gold case and a nice black enamel dial. Nice? Sure. Super Jaquet Droz in character? Not really. Where is the "figure 8" dial we like so much? Once the brand gets new leadership, we will see where the core design sits after the dust settles.
