Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Open Hometime Watch
Several years ago in 2008 Montblanc released an interesting new watch called the Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph. Nicolas Rieussec is accredited with being the guy who invented the chronograph, and the unique design of the timepiece's chronograph display is meant to honor that original device. I did a aBlogtoWatch?review of a Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Automatic watch here. Another important aspect of the Nicolas Rieussec is that it has what I think is the first in-house made Montblanc movement in Le Locle. Azimuth finally released their SP-1 Landship watch that has been in the making for a while now.Modeled after early 20th century landships, the SP-1 Landship watch is meant to look like an early tank. Before the tank became what it is today, landship w

Last night was the watch industry's annual big award show gala event - the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve (GPHG). These are our Oscars, and the 2010 winners are interesting. A few surprises, and a lot of watches that just keep winning. I was invited to the ceremony, but was unfortunately unable to stick around in Europe long enough after my last trip to go this year. Next year I will go, and might just sport a Timex!Surprises that I am happy to see? Seiko won the prize for the best Sports Watch with the Spring Drive Spacewalk Commemorative Edition watch. MB&F won for best Desig
Casio PAG110C-3 'Go Green' Pathfinder Watch
Lots of watch brands create special timepieces that are more eco-friendly than the rest of their collection, and sell them as special or limited edition pieces. Then you have brands like Casio that has naturally eco-friendly watches by design. With light powered movements that charge batteries instead of requiring them to be changes, the basic principles of the watch are eco-friendly. Casio didn't even need do anything special to accomplish that for this Go Green edition PAG110C-3 Pathfinder watch. It is certainly true that battery waste is harmful to the environment. To press the poin
