Parmigiani has already gained a strong foothold in the world of horology
The two-year old watch company Parmigiani has already gained a strong foothold in the world of horology. Encouraged by car racing, it has surprised the demanding audience by its extraordinary watches: chronographs, regulators and tourbillions.Created in cooperation with the designer Eric Giroud, the brand's new brainchild, named Predator, has also inherited many features from racing automobiles: the brake discs and the pedals, the five-layer dial featuring a honeycomb base, as well as the bridges shaped as a push rod (the bridges are used to connect the chronograph counters to the dial).
Maurice Lacroix by Kris Van Assche, Patricia Urquiola
Three designers were once more the chance to create their own interpretation of this classic in 2011, in a performance that reflects their personality without hide the original. Joint project of this year, the Maurice Lacroix and Wallpaper sought without compromise designers who are faithful to their beliefs and whose work reflects their own styles. The result is an impressive trio of Kris Van Assche, Patricia Urquiola, and Rodolfo Dordoni. Each of them will now create a unique interpretation of the Pontos Décentrique GMT - no aesthetic condition. Watches will be presented at Baselworld 2011 in March, and then sold at auction on Antiquorum.com of activity in the 22, 2011. The product will go to the three charities of choice the designers.
Tissot Heritage Navigator Automatic COSC 160th Anniversary Watch Review
When?Tissot?announced their?Heritage Navigator Automatic COSC 160th Anniversary watch, I knew this was a piece I wanted to get in to spend some time with. What the Tissot Heritage Navigator (ref.?T078.641.16.037.00) watch offers is a classic-looking world time complication in a watch recreated based on a model from the 1950s. While GMT-equipped watches tend to veer towards the sport watch end of the spectrum, world timers seem to tend towards dress watches - or at least the ones I've reviewed lately have.As of late, world timer and GMT watches have really captured my attention, and I'
Ernst Benz Reminds You To Adjust Your Watches For Daylight Saving Time
I really loved getting this e-mail. It makes sense too. A watch company using daylight saving time (DST) as a reason to send out an piece of marketing e-mail. You'd think more watch companies would do this. I don't really have many people reminding me to do this, and with the new times for DST lately (thanks Congress!), it is more difficult than ever to remember. Being two days from now, Ernst Benz is the only company that took this opportunity to "say hi."What is funnier is the little message at the lower part of the image above, suggesting that if you need help adjusting the watch y
Perrelet Diamond Flower Prestige Edition Ladies Watches
Given that whole "if money were no object" thing, one of the my top choices for modern women's watches is the Perrelet Diamond Flower. It mixes sport, style, complexity, luxury, and visual fun so well. While the collection starts in the $10,000 range, these limited Prestige Edition Diamond Flower watches are colorful creations with prices in the $35,000? to over $100,000 range (depending on the mixture of gold, diamonds, and other precious gems). It is one of those rare fun luxury watches that is elegant but doesn't take itself too seriously. Don't forget that the Diamond Flower featur
