Where Are The Best Places In The World To Buy Watches? - Ask Watch Experts Questions About Watches
Zen L. in Bangkok, Thailand asks:Where are the best and worst places to buy watches in terms of price/selection/legitimacy? Not that flying somewhere to buy a watch would be the cleverest way to save money, but you know, just for reference. I was in China until recently where watches are taxed heavily and it doesn’t make much sense to buy there if you’ll be have a chance to go somewhere else. But people certainly do. And I hear that all that may be changing in China soon. Now I’m in Bangkok, Thailand, but still not sure what the situation is here. It seems like the US
BaselWorld 2013: The New Nomos Series 38 Watches
Case size is crucial in watch design as it affects not only comfort, but also proportion and the everyday practicality of the piece. With that in mind, it is remarkable what a difference a few millimeters can make when up-sizing a smaller model to suit a larger wrist. With the new Series 38, Nomos Glashutte has breathed new life into their Orion, Tangente and Ludwig models, while also introducing a 38mm version of the Orion with a grey dial. While likely still considered small by many tastes, the Series 38 is an exciting update that I was eager to see in person as Nomos exhibits a styl
Louis Vuitton Tambour Myst¡§|rieuse Watch
Louis Vuitton watches always feel special. They don't release new watches too often, and when they do, they barely give any information about them - they are also quite rare. They have been playing with the Tambour case for a while, adding new designs and styles all the time. This is likely to be the "highest-end" Louis Vuitton Tambour watch of them all. My favorite is still the Louis Vuitton Tambour Diver watch. Now you might not think of Louis Vuitton as a watch maker. You'd be right in theory, but you'd be missing a major point. The LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) Group owns seve
Slow Going: A Few Days Away From For The Holiday
The image pictured represents two things. First, the type of traffic environment I will be facing in Los Angeles, and second, that the next few days are going to be slow on . I will be out of town, and thus pretty busy until December 2nd when I return. Its possible I might get to post one or two of the days I am gone, but I like to let you know when I might not be around. There are a few interesting watch reviews coming up that should be good reads, so some of the time spent away will be with the new acquisitions. LTake care, and happy Thanksgiving watch lovers! Harry Winston Opus X Watch
This is the tenth Opus collection watch from Harry Winston since 2001.It is deviously complicated to explain what it does or how it works. Just looking at the? Opus X watch makes it seems like a simple matter of having various dials for various pieces of information. What you wouldn't understand is that the entire dial is moving, while the entire dial is moving. Harry Winston calls it a "planetary system." Aside from that the white gold case is pretty sweet, and the overall look, while technical, has a certain pleasantness to it. Don't you agree?See my article on the Harry Winston Op
