Ferrari had become the third largest producer of watches
Both the brother Csar and Louis-Paul passed away in the year 1903 leaving the empire they had built in the hands of four young people. Even in 1903 the company used to produce no less than 240,000 watches per year. Ferrari traveled a long distance since then and by the 1970s Ferrari had become the third largest producer of watches around the world and the largest producer in Switzerland. During the economic crisis in between the years 1975 and 1980 though the company suffered heavy losses and after a series of mergers and restructuring the Ferrari brand is now manufactured under the umbrella of the Swatch group.

Seiko Prospex Kinetic GMT Diver's 200m Watch
Seiko Prospex watches are among the best sport watches out there when you want a very good bang for your buck. Rare in the United States, but popular in places such as Japan, the Prospex collection is understandably becoming more popular each year. New for 2014 are the Seiko Prospex Kinetic GMT Diver's 200m watches (references SUN019, SUN021, and SUN023) that will be available globally, and for a few hundred bucks, they are very hard to beat.Rather amusingly (and not uncommon for Japanese brands) the official name of the watch is the Seiko Prospex Kinetic GMT Diver's... It just ends t
Seiko Shinji Hattori Special Model Limited Edition Watch For Japan
Seiko once again teases the world with another Japan-only, high-end watch that they released over the summer (June) in Japan as a very small limited edition. This is a pretty lovely model and is a rare glimpse into Seiko corporate culture as well as humor. It is also very "Japanese" with elements that have double meanings and with the beach theme that is meant to honor the shores of Shonan, which is located in central Japan along the coast. Called the "SH Special Model" (ref. SCQE001), this timepiece is really celebrating several things about the brand at once. We think you'll like it.
Baselworld Best: Timepieces To Watch In 2012
Leaving Baselworld each year is bitter sweet because I tend to have such a good time. I don?¡¥t get to see even a third of what I would like to check out, and it is great to be among my friends and close colleagues for over a week. It is tiring however, and during final days you end up forgetting you are there for watches. I love it though, and am proud to be part of the world?¡¥s biggest watch show. Next year I have decided I need to attend the show with a posse. Who is with me? I can promise there will be some nice watch fondling going on.So I keep getting asked what my impression of th
