Spero Lucem La Clemence Crazy Hands Tourbillon Minute Repeater Watch
We are really happy to show you a video of the La Clemence watch in action - else it would be difficult to understand what new brand Spero Lucem's flagship watch is all about. When we learned about Spero Lucem back at Baselworld 2013 we were quite surprised that it was co-founded by aBlogtoWatch friend and watch artist Yvan Arpa. People who follow us know that we like to keep up with Yvan's latest shenanigans at his own brand, Artya. 2013 for example, saw the debut of the Son of Sound watch collection. In the same year, Yvan announced Spero Lucem, a brand that is in many ways quite unc
Parmigiani Toric Quaestor Labyrinthe Watch
Pretty much any timepiece from Parmigiani Fleurier that has the term ?¡ãToric?¡À in the title is going to be spectacular. This watch is the Toric Quaestor Labyrinthe (that I will refer to as merely ?¡ãLabyrinthe?¡À), a limited edition of five pieces set for 2013. These pieces rank toward the top of the Parmigiani wrist watch ladder. They are very limited in their production, and a symbol of the artful in-house made movements as well as what can be realized in their cases and dials by offering traditional, but uniquely designed high-end timepieces. The Labyrinthe name comes from the maze-like d
TAG Heuer Carrera CMC Concept Chronograph Watch
2013 is the 50th anniversary of the Carrera so we are expecting a great deal this year. TAG Heuer obviously knows chronographs. If one is keeping score - Heuer was the first brand to launch a mechanical chronograph and not only in 2011 did TAG Heuer launch their own in-house (cough, ahem) chronograph movement, the 1887, but they have also been teasing the horological world with the amazing tech and cutting edge designs of their Mikrogirder lines. TAG Heuer seems to have a very healthy love for research and development and it is from that not-yet-for-sale side of their company that they
MARCH LA.B AM 1 Watch Review
Recently I was flipping through GQ magazine's annual "Style Guide." A special issue of their magazine dedicated to helping helpless male souls "dress better" (not that the advice is all bad, but it is extremely declarative and one-dimensional - though I do realize that assertive, aggressively consultative content does sell copies). Thankfully, the issue had a section on watches, but as it turned out the section was written by fashion editors. Uh oh!. Actually, not everything they said was bad, though it left little room for 'argument.' They more or less offered a "one-size-fits-all" ap
Leonardo DiCaprio Limited Edition Tag Heuer Aquaracer Watch
This watch isn't exactly new, but I wanted to revisit it after not really covering it the first time around. While the watch doesn't inherently have anything "Leo" about it, it does have Leonardo DiCaprio's name as part of the name of the watch - which gives it something a bit special right? As a limited edition, it is really a neat looking? piece in the newer styled Tag Heuer Aquaracer collection with a "globe" style metallic blue dial and blue accents. Reminds me a lot of the Swiss Army Divemaster 500 Mecha watch in blue. The DiCaprio name is likely to be worth a lot in most i
