Sotheby's To Auction Patek Philippe
Between vintage watches Patek Philippe, are outstanding examples of perpetual calendar REF. 3448, including a particularly rare "Senza Luna" variation has not display phase of typical Moon presented in this reference. Rolex is represented by some Oyster Perpetual models particularly sought after in the range of sports. Such a model is a watch Submariner in 1974 for the Royal Navy, featuring a number of details special for robust use, including the bars welded strap and a mechanism of software piracy to enable troops to synchronise their watches prior to a mission. An example of a timepiece "COMEX" Sea-Dweller, to 1977 is also to offer.
Created by Rolex in association with the firm of specialty COMEX diving, this model Oyster Perpetual uses a patented valve release helium for dives of saturation. It is sold by its owner - a professional diver who joined the COMEX in 1981 and used the previous day in several of its missions with the company. A millennium of George Daniels shows attra
First Look At Rocker Dan Spitz's Jeanrichard Aeroscope Limited Edition Watch
Toward the end of 2014, Jeanrichard will announce a limited edition watch produced in collaboration with rock-and-roller Dan Spitz. On his Facebook page today, Spitz previewed the prototype of the upcoming model that will be based on the Jeanrichard Aeroscope timepiece. Dan was wearing it on his wrist presumably at the pool in his Florida home. We know that Dan has been looking to partner with a watch brand for quite sometime. What makes Spitz a bit different from your average watch-loving musician is that he himself is a watchmaker. Now, 51-year-old Dan Spitz took a break from music i
Casio G-Shock Baby-G Watch With Breathalyzer For Vodka Maker (Update: Fake)
UPDATE: Apparently this is not real. Casio has reached out to let me know that someone Photoshopped this fake watch, but for amusement you can read a "watch if" below. However, the same week TokyoFlash released a genuine breathalyzer watch.Because Casio didn't think that making a watch with a breathalyzer was enough, it needed to make one in collaboration with a vodka maker. Yes, it is true, the irony of the Ciroc X G-Shock watch is that the timepiece is there to prevent you from drinking too much of what Ciroc produces. For Ciroc, it is a great marketing move as it has been well est
Richard Mille RM036 Watch With G-Force Meter
If you are a fan of Monty Python then you are a fan of comedy frequently derived from irony, and often from absurdity. Consider me such a fan, and I have a feeling that Mr. Mille falls into this same camp. At SIHH 2013 my enduring image of him is sitting in a chair and speaking energetically with his hands. "Absurdity" is the easiest way to explain the combination of features and the conception of the new Richard Mille RM036 "G-Sensor Tourbillon" watch. In brief, the watch is a mechanical tourbillon-based timepiece with a g-force meter. On the one hand you have a rather fragile tourbil
RGM 801 Aircraft Watch
eBay to the rescue again. I swear, I have so many conversations with watch executives and designers that end with "and I got it on eBay." A lot of brands use vintage watches and instruments as the basis for new timepieces - a least from a design perspective. Most of the watches based on aircraft cockpit instruments have the designers checking out actual instruments. Either they go find a plane or buy stuff online - often on eBay. RGM for instance picked up a couple of these cool WWII era cockpit clocks online originally made by Hamilton, and decided to make a watch based on the theme.
