The exclusive movement inside of the watch is the mechanical caliber L688.2 which provides the tricompax chrono subdial layout. The dial design is extremely classic.
Konstantin Chaykin Decalogue Watch Available On James List
St. Petersburg based Russian watch maker Konstantin Chaykin is one of the independents that I watch closely. Their new watch for 2011 was the Lunokhod that I covered here. Though this Decalogue is a piece they released last year as a limited edition of 76 pieces. The watch is actually based on a large clock in Prague that also features Hebrew characters as the hour indicators. Like the clock, the watch tells the time with the hands going counter-clockwise.This seemingly odd feature has to do with the Hebrew language, which is read right to left versus left to right. The first thing you will notice when checking out this watch is the text all over the dial - at least that is the first thing I notice. This is some sort of secret message written in "billionaire tongue" from Mr. Greubel and Mr. Forsey to buyers of the limited edition Invention Piece 3 watch. JeanRichard is having enough success with their well-designed line of Diverscope dive watches to merit an on-going stream of limited editions. Here is one of my favorites. They rename the watch the "2TimeZones," add some complications, and make the case out of zirconium. I think there are 2TimeZones watches that aren't in Zirconium that I took images of below.
