F.P. Journe Elegante Ladies Watch Is High-End Quartz Even A Man Could Covet
I never thought that one of my favorite independent watchmakers from Geneva would produce a colorful lady's watch that I would not only enjoy, but really wished to write about. Neither did F.P. Journe for that matter. It took him years to finally produce a full collection of watches for women under his brand name, and the resulting Elegante is the first timepiece he claims to have been inspired by the wives of his most passionate clients versus himself.Knowing Francois-Paul I wouldn't have guessed him - as a serious watchmaker and classicist - to devote the type of time and effort he
Blancpain Tribute To Fifty Fathoms Watch
2010 sees an interesting release from Blancpain. Given the plethora of "vintage" or "re-release" models, I wasn't at all surprised to see that Blancpain too had dug something out from their past to share with everyone. Matt Mullenweg - Photo credit: Sheri Bigelow (designsimply)This one's for you Matt... readers know that I don't spend a lot of blog space explaining which watch actors and athletes are currently paid to endorse. I will however discuss watches on the wrists of people I respect and that have good enough taste to choose something nice. WordPress and Automattic founder Matt Mullenweg is also a watch lover. Like many San Francisco and Silicon Valley horophiles, Matt is a bit more private about his fascination with watches. He told me once that it started with a Panerai h
