the official COSC chronometer-certification - Breitling Caliber 17
The heart of the timekeeper is a self-winding movement crowned by the official COSC chronometer-certification - Breitling Caliber 17. The 25-jewel movement is beating at a high frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The screw-locked crown is protected by powerful lateral reinforcements. The safety valve is used to balance out pressure differences inside and outside the case. The new Breitling Superocean 42 White Water watch is presented on a white rubber Diver Pro strap. The novelty will be available exclusively from the brand's boutiques.
TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 17 Chronograph Boutique Special Honors The Jack Heuer 80 Limited Edition Watch
aBlogtoWatch writers were among those wanting, but not able to acquire a limited edition TAG Heuer Carrera Jack Heuer 80 Edition watch (hands-on here with Jack Heuer interview) that was released in 2012. Limited to 3,000 pieces, the watch quickly sold out. TAG Heuer even admitted having to sell their PR sample (shown to the media) when someone desperately wanted one and was willing to take it. Fans of the watch will be happy to know that now at the end of 2013, TAG Heuer has released two new versions of the watch that honor the Jack Heuer 80 Edition model that Jack designed himself. Th
Christophe Claret Maestoso Watch With Detent Escapement
Quite remarkably Christophe Claret has released a watch that "merely" tells the time. Yes, it is true: while the new for 2014 Maestoso is anything but a simple watch, its only indications are the hours and minutes. That is kind of a big deal from a man who finds standard minute repeaters and tourbillons to be more or less passe. Seiko Power Design Project 2008 Results: Tokyo Looking Watches
Each year Seiko has a bit of a design competition in Japan called the Seiko Power Design Project. Utilizing a different theme each year, 2008 had 12 watches each named after a district or neighborhood in Tokyo. This is one of the very cool things that Seiko does, and I think that more watch companies should get involved in working with local artists to design watches that come from different points of view. The first Seiko Power Design Project was in 2002, and it has been occurring annually since. I am not sure exactly how the project is done, but the "winners" actually get their watch
Levi's Mix Tape Watch: A Little Tech Nostalgia On Your Wrist
It's amusing how I have reached a point when I begin to think about my past in terms of the "then current" technology. I might look at a VHS cassette tape and think fondly to bygone years when that was how we watched movies. Such nostalgic thoughts are increasing in frequency as mainstream technology quickly goes in and out of modernity. Do you remember the roughly 15-year period from the early to mid 1980s to the late 1990s when it was common to present someone with a mix tape? Even with the advent of compact discs, it was easier to create a mix tape versus a writable CD, as it involve
