Christian Dior is proud to introduce its exclusive novelty
The illustrious horological company Christian Dior is proud to introduce its exclusive novelty, called Arceau Squelette Sellier. The timepiece has been presented at Baselworld 2010. Standing out due to its mysterious design, the watch provides the basic functions of indicating hours and minutes.
Uniform Wares 200 & 300 Series Watches
Designed in London, Uniform Wares presents their second collection of timepieces with the 200 Series watches. UPDATE: Just when I was about to publish this article I learned that Uniform Wares also announced an upcoming 300 pieces Chronograph watch. The collection is based on the design on wall clocks (clearly), with a case that enhances this look featuring a lugless design. In the spirit of pieces such as the Mondaine Swiss Railways watch and the famous Max Bill watches, this functional minimalist design is a modern Bauhaus style classic and arrives with a reasonable price. Victorinox Swiss Army Airboss Mach 6 Chronograph Watch
Victorinox has been making increasingly nice mechanical watches of late. The Dive Master 500 is an ETA 2892-based diver that has a lot of fans, and the Airboss Mach 6 Chrono, ref. 241447, is quite eye-catching. Based on the ETA/Valjoux 7750, it's a 3-register, 12-hour chronograph with date, which is a challenge to keep legible. VSA did a good job here, with well-sized sword hands and upright Arabic numerals. The date is tucked away at 4:30 with a color-matched white on black wheel, and the subdials have the same white-inside-black theme as the main dial. Concentric black and white at s
Urwerk UR-CC1 King Cobra Linear Time Watch
Don't get too excited about this watch unless you have some mucho petty cash and want to battle for one of the 50 pieces in this limited edition (25 in either of two materials). While not as sexy in function as most Urwerk watches with their rotating satellites, this new UR-CC1 King Cobra takes an older concept and makes it new again with "linear time." The dial(s) of the watch show three pieces of information - the hours, minutes, and seconds. Flip the watch over and you see a more naked version of the hours and minutes laid out like two computer program progress gauges. "4 o'c
My TW Steel Canteen TW 1 Watch Review On AskMen
The newest AskMen watch review by me is up. This time it is on an unusual suspect, a TW Steel watch - a maker whose claim to fame is being in the business of 'big watches' (literally). The TW 1 model is part of the "Canteen" collection. It was not until I was almost done with the review that I realized the reason for the name. It has to do with the protective diver's crown. Read and you'll see if you still don't get it. Being so used to what the crown is actually for, it took me a while to realize it. Goes to show that the people in marketing at TW Steel are either not big watch af
