The lamborghini engineers came to the conclusion
The lamborghini engineers came to the conclusion that somewhere along the radius from the centre to the edge of the circle they should find a particular point to traverse an intermediate curve between the astroid and the circle. On this very point the three-pointed hour indicator of the watch is placed, and its trajectory is very close to the shape of a square with rounded corners.
Omega Speedmaster Mark 4.5 Watch Giveaway Winner
I was happy to get anote from the winner of the Omega Speedmaster Mark 4.5 vintage watch that I gave away here in January. Looks good for a watch from the 1970s right? Vintage Omega watches have a great tool-watch feel to them and I congratulate the winner. Thanks again to MB&F who sponsored the giveaway. The watch winner preferred to remain anonymous, but did share these thoughts (and also apologized for the photography!):"Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this amazing wrist watch. Getting the watch felt like receiving a Christmas gift from my favorite
Tag Heuer Carrera MP4-12C Chronograph Watch Exclusive
Tag Heuer is moving in a very interesting direction up market. I don't think (at least hope) that this means they are going to abandon their lower price segments (as that would be an awful idea), but with the success of the Monaco V4 (along with their vintage market), they feel as though they are justified in offering very expensive timepieces. As such, the new Mikrograph watch they just released that measures 1/100th of a second with its chronograph is a classic looking timepiece in an 18k gold case and cost a whopping $50,000. This is not that watch. This is something not cheap, but
Blancpain Tribute To Fifty Fathoms Watch
2010 sees an interesting release from Blancpain. Given the plethora of "vintage" or "re-release" models, I wasn't at all surprised to see that Blancpain too had dug something out from their past to share with everyone. This is a model in the Fifty Fathoms collection called the "Tribute to Fifty Fathoms Watch." It is modeled after one of the original Fifty Fathoms watches from the 1950s. If you want to know more about the history, the go here.I don't think that Blancpain has officially released anything regarding this watch yet. They often wait a long while to do so... which is frustra
Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk Limited Edition Watch To be Auctioned Off
This is one of the few times I have seen a watch at auction and thought to myself "damn, I need to be there for that." This is the very ultra cool Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk watch. There are only six of these watches in the world, and Seiko made them to celebrate Richard Garriot's 'celebutrip' to the ISS (International Space Station) with the Russians. The story is actually kinda sad if you ask me. Richard Garriot became famous as a video game designer. Fame came with the Ultima series of computer RPG games, and most lately, the MMORPG game Tabula Rasa was supposedly interesti
