Nautica NMX 1000 Solar Quartz Dive Watch
Summer may be over for all intents and purposes, but Nautica is looking to extend that season a little bit for you with their latest watch, the cryptically named NMX 1000. ?Name aside, this is a watch that will get attention, and looks to be a snap to read (not to mention measuring something via the bezel). When I first laid eyes on the images of this piece, I couldn't decide if someone shrunk the dial, or made a massive bezel. Given that the case is 48mm, I'm going to go with the massive bezel. Frankly, the smaller dial wouldn't even make sense, even if you ignore the style-related re
SIHH 2013, You Control The Watch Coverage
In about a week I will be on the ground in Geneva covering the 2013 edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH). Read this post fully because the important stuff is at the end. This will be our 4th SIHH show, but our week in Geneva doesn't stop there. In addition to the SIHH we will be at the Geneva Time Exhibition (GTE), and meet with a number of other brands who will be presenting in the area. SIHH sounds hectic but in reality it is much more relaxed than the ten plus days you can spend in Basel at Baselworld madly meeting with as many brands as possible.Seeing
Haldimann H9 Reduction Watch
I thoroughly debated on whether or not I should even cover this "watch." It is from a brand called Haldimann - eponymously named after the watch maker Beat Haldimann, and I think the man is playing a rather cruel joke on watch lovers. One press release I saw on the watch wasn't a press release at all, but a rather diplomatic article written by a Swiss journalist based on his reaction to the watch. As a timepiece this item is utterly indefensible - but optimistically creative types will claim that it is some manner of art. This latter description is probably the kindest thing you can sa
Tissot PRC 200 Danica Watch Giveaway Winner
This is the Tissot PRC 200 Danica Limited Edition ladies watch that was given away on in March 2012. Thank you to winner Cindy for her follow-up images and thoughts:"It's just the right combination of sporty/feminine for my tastes. I really like the robust, clean design with the big '7' in orange that matches the strap stitching. Also love the diamonds on the dial. I also think that the hefty thickness of the watch is attractive. At first I thought "Wow, that's big" but when I have it on, it doesn't look too large on my arm. I am going to wear this watch proudly!"
