MB&F HM5 RT Watch Is The Horological Driving Machine In Gold
For 2013,?MB&F announces this new limited edition version of the Horological Machine No 5 (HM5) watch in 18k red gold. aBlogtoWatch reviewed the MB&F HM5 watch here when it first became available in 2012. This fifth edition of the Horological Machine legacy is inspired by driving watches (and cars) from mostly the 1970s. The wedge-shaped case displays the time on the side, visible through a sapphire crystal prism that magnifies the hour and minute indicator discs for increased legibility. Originally in all zirconium (similar to titanium) this new HM5 RT version comes in a case
Bremont Solo White Watch Review
By now, it is of all likelihood that as an aBlogtoWatch reader, you are well acquainted with Bremont watches. This feisty English brand is the progeny of two brothers with a passion for aviation and a love of all things mechanical. Giles and Nick English launched Bremont a little over ten years ago and recently Bremont completed a move to a new headquarters based in Henley, England. As with any watch brand, it is crucial to not only focus on their flagship designs, such as Bremont's HMS Victory, but also on their "entry level" models. A brand's most modestly priced model must often be
Blancpain Sp¡§|cialit¡§|s Tourbillon Diamants Watch
Diamonds for diamonds sake? Maybe not. Don't overlook the importance of ludicrously gilded timepieces in the haute joaillerie watch category. While such timepieces might wreak of excess, they are often times as complex, or more complex than the mechanical creations we so love. The process of choosing and cutting diamonds (not to mention setting them) is in credibly time consuming. All that in a white gold case with a automatic tourbillon mechanical movement - and you might just start saving up gold bars for this over $1.3 million impulse buy.Read my article on the Blancpain Sp¡§|cialit¡§|
CX Swiss Military 20,000 Feet Diver Watch Review
Deepest diving mechanical watch ever. That is one way to sum up the Swiss Military Watch 20,000 Feet Diver. Built by CX (Montres Charmex) in Switzerland, this has to be one of the greatest "man" watches of the year. I first wrote about the 20,000 Feet Diver watch here. What is stunning about the watch is that it is an incredibly well made and refined, in addition to it being an extremely successful execution of the concept. What does this mean? Well Swiss Military Watches (not to be confused with Swiss Army Watches) wanted to beat their old record of a watch that would survive 12,000 f
To Switzerland For SIHH and GTE 2010
Maybe a surprise to you, but this is going to be my first trip to Switzerland. Today I embark on a (frustratingly long) flight to Geneva for two important shows. First is the highly exclusive SIHH 2010, put on indirectly by the Richemont Group to celebrate mostly its brands. This gala style event is apparently very high-class, and of course, as always, "by invitation only." I do consider myself lucky having be asking to attend. There I will mingle and see new for 2010 releases of many brands, just a few of which are Audemars Piguet (not part of Richemont), A. Lange & Sohne, Cartier
