Breitling Navitimer New For 2014 46mm And GMT Watches
Breitling's most iconic and famous model is the Navitimer. I've reviewed the Navitimer 01, which included for the first time the in-house manufacture Calibre 01 movement. For 2014, Breitling makes two small, but important, changes to the already legendary model. First, the Navitimer gets an extra large version. The 46 mm cased model results in a larger timepiece that allows it to be more wearable over a pilot's jacket and in keeping with some modern wristwatch tastes and trends. Also, the Navitimer 46mm now includes a transparent case back to showcase the Calibre 01 movement. ToykoFlash Kisai Intoxicated Watch With Breathalyzer
If you're even remotely familiar with TokyoFlash, you're aware that their design studio turns out some rather interesting pieces, with all manner of twists on what we'd call the "classic" digital readout. Today, they've jumped in with a watch that's ready to tell you when it's time to let someone else drive home. It is the Kisai Intoxicated, and it has a functioning breathalyzer incorporated into the design. Unlike the hoax Casio Breathalyzer that turned out to be a fake, this is the drunken deal. How is it that both of these came out in the same week?Yes, that's right - the Kisai Int
Ulysse Nardin Freak Diavolo Watch First Look
OK people, here is the new "Double Freak," better know as the Freak Diavolo watch from Ulysse Nardin. This is a first look at the watch - and it is strictly a prototype. So you'll see stuff on the the piece here that will clearly be improved, removed, or otherwise changes. Take for instance the black around the bezel that will eventually be black vulcanized rubber. That application on the bezel is for display purposes only. Oh, and you like that little "NOT FOR SALE" reminder on the back of the watch? I wanna see a store try to peddle this one off. The Freak Diavolo isn't a replacemen
Tiffany & Co. Watches Do Not Shine In 2010
For the most part I have great admiration for the watches that Tiffany & Co. has sold over the years. For a while, they combined their inventory with personally branded watches and ones from brands such as Rolex and Patek Philippe. Tiffany & Co. branded watches from the 1990's for example were very cool. I wrote a lot about the famous Streamerica watch designed by Jorg Hysek (you can search for it here on to the right, as I have written about it several times), and I personally reviewed a Tiffany & Co. Mark T-57 Automatic watch here. Tiffany & Co. was ve
Watch & Car Art Together By French Artist Philippe Burlet
French painter Philippe Burlet knows his way around a brush as well as cars and watches. Burlet's medium of choice is watercolors, which he uses to aptly recreate the essence of sport racing and the watch loving spirit. Although relatively obscure in the United States, Burlet is a favorite among European motor sports enthusiasts, who often commission work from the talented painter.Burlet was not always an artist, but lived a life around automobiles. Somewhere in the mix he developed an eye for watches and seemingly became fascinated by their connection to fine cars. Burlet has a pench
