Blancpain Villeret Quantieme Perpetuel 8 Jours Watch
For 2014, Blancpain introduced a brand new perpetual calendar watch with the Blancpain Villeret Quantieme Perpetual 8 Jours timepiece, and if you'll pardon my language, it is pretty "baller." How is a classy, high-end luxury watch with an elegant face something I would refer to as being a glitzy status watch, you ask? Well, assuming the wearer was known for their taste, I can't think of anything else that communicates bold presence and prestige in a more timeless package. This is a baller watch for a guy who'd buy a new Cadillac if it was 1970, or for someone hanging out with Sinatra's
Year With A Seiko Shogun Has Watch Lover Impressed
Want to dive deep into the minutia of an often over-looked Seiko diver? The guys over at Monochrome reported on a long-term, in-depth review of the Seiko SBDC007. The Seiko SBDC007 (aka the Shogun) is yet another JDM (Japanese domestic market) model that you likely won't see in any North American stores.Boasting a similar platform to the SBDC001 (and 003/005) "Sumo" models, the 007 deviates in a number of interesting ways. When I was recently in Japan, the Seiko folk made sure we knew all about the Seiko Quartz Astron (ref. 35SQ) watch. For whatever reason, the knowledge that Seiko was the inventor of the world's first quartz movement powered watch has eluded me (until then that is). Coincidentally, this December 2009 is the 40th anniversary of the Seiko Astron quartz watch. I got to check out one of the original Seiko Astron watches. Two of the images here are mine that I took of a Seiko Astron watch back in Japan. The watch itself is a testament to Seiko having help up so well after 40 years. It looked

Timekeeper Chronometire Mystery Of Time: Table Clock Art
Picture this: a rather large table with a clock that rises out out the column style leg through the center of the table. The clock slowly rises up when a sensor is hit with light - meant to be activated by the morning sun. When the clock "chapel" finishes its ascent a series of sections open up like a flower to reveal a "mystery clock," earth and moon planetarium, and a giant tourbillon that spins on three axis points. That is more of less what the "Mystery of Time" clock by Timekeeper Chronometrie and Atelier Knesebeck in Germany is all about. These artistic luxury horology creations
