Blancpain launched a style watch
Swatch Group announced the move as a "consolidation". This would explain the desire to eliminate redundancy, but at the same time you would usually see a maker of movement by a brand of watches. If the decision to have Blancpain look like the author of the big daddy movement (probably) was highly strategic. Swatch seeks to each of its brands are very important. While Blancpain has done a good job of making nice watches, in recent years, the brand has lost a little of his zest. This moves is an attempt to make it exciting again. In addition, Blancpain can now if say as a roughly manufacturer movement fully vertically integrated - something which the Swatch Group is not really in comparison to competitor group Richemont.
18 k red and has an engraved Guilloche Dial machine like the anniversary edition of Montblanc
The watch is gold, 18 k red and has an engraved Guilloche Dial machine like the anniversary edition of Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec chronograph watch (also unveiled this year). Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Blacksteel Limited Edition Watch
When you think of watches associated with space (and space programs), it probably calls to mind the Omega Speedmaster, or perhaps the Poljot Strela. Did you know that Breitling also has a watch associated with the great space race of the mid-20th century? It did, and Breitling is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the watch's flight into space. On May 24th, 1962, a Breitling Navitimer was on the wrist of Lt. Cmdr. Scott Carpenter as he orbited the Earth three times in an Aurora 7 capsule. What separated this watch from others of its day was the fact that it featured a 24-hour dial,
Hublot La Cl§Ú§Ø Du Temps Watch, For Time Control Freaks
Pretty wild right? This is the new version of the La Clef du Temps watch. From "La Clef" to "La Cl§Ú§Ø," funny enough they both mean "the key of time." The original La Clef du Temps was never originally meant to be an Hublot watch. It was designed for the Confrerie Horlogere under BNB Concept before it went bankrupt. When Hublot bought up the Confrerie and Mathias Buttet, it got the La Clef du Temps with it. I wasn't really too enthused on that watch - writing about the La Clef du Temps here. I later learned that Mathias designed it with the Predator in mind, and the dial was meant to loo
Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2012: We'll Be There
One of the most interesting watch fairs in the world is the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair?(put on by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council). Celebrating its 31st year, the 2012 fair will run from September 5 - 9 at the Hong Kong Convention Centre. This year will be there, checking out the "world's biggest timepiece event." Is it bigger than BaselWorld? I will let you know. BaselWorld is rather massive and I've never actually been able to see it all. I am calling for recruits to help me divvy up next year's event. Serious horological explorers can contact me.Hong K
