Perrelet Skeleton Chronograph Watch
Originally released a couple of years ago, 2011-2012 sees new color variations for the Perrelet Skeleton Chronograph. It took a while for me to warm up to this unique style of timepiece but I am liking it now especially thanks to the refreshed dial and prices that don't shock the heart. The biggest question I have is whether it is a sport watch or not.Really, I don't actually know whether this is a sport watch, a formal watch, or something in between. The case design falls somewhere in the middle. The dial is also a mixture of classic elegance and aggressive ideals. It has a steel cas
Ochs und Junior Watches
One of my heroes in watchmaking is a man named Ludwig Oechslin. He's the genius behind ultra-complicated watches such as the Ulysse Nardin Trilogy Set, the amazing UN Freak in addition to minimal classics such as the MIH watch. Recently, he the younger Beat Weinmann started a new company, Ochs and Junior (Och und Junior) and their watches are breathtakingly different from anything else out there. I think it is pretty neat - but how primitive does the case look by today's standards? So would you wear a Piaget diver? The case is 38mm wide in 18k yellow gold with elements on the rotating diver's bezel in 18k white gold. That two-toning is rather cool. The
Pop Art TechnoMarine Cruise Britto Collection Reminds Us Of Novel Swatch Watches From The 80's
Brazilian Artist Romero Britto has popularity in many art circles because his work combines styles cherished by many. Though he has his own distinct look, it is all heavily influenced by Picasso cubism, Roy Lichtenstein pop art, Japanese pop art, and a "world" urban happy feel. I'd say that most of his art tends to bring a smile at the least, and positive elation at best.In a bold and unexpected move, TechnoMarine has released the Cruise Britto collection featuring four watches, each with a different Romero Britto image on each. As far as I know, this is a first for TechnoMarine, but
