Casio GW9400 Rangeman Watch Review: Best G-Shock Today?
I love to review new Casio G-Shock watches and today I'd like to share with you the excellent GW9400 Rangeman. Clearly I don't cover each new G-Shock model, but I make it a point to notice the best new pieces from Casio that continue to offer more of what we love in what is arguably the world's most useful collection of timepieces. The G-Shock recently celebrated its 30th birthday in 2013 and has a life of its own among Japanese Casio's other watch families. A brand unto itself, the G-Shock is an item that has the remarkable ability to appeal to watch lovers of all ages, budgets, and t
Christophe Claret Kantharos Watch
Without question, Christophe Claret produces some beautiful and engaging timepieces. Hands-on with the new for 2013 Kantharos just reinforces that. There is a certain magic to them that goes beyond the lusty appeal of traditional watches and into the heart-pounding "I want" of novel gadgets and tech toys. From the perspective of an onlooker who has never seen or handled these watches it is probably quite easy to either dismiss then as odd expensive designs, or something that merely looks good in pictures. Not true

The design is certainly masculine, and the proportions are certainly on the more "restrained side." I first reviewed their Icon XL watch here, and now tackle the Rough Sea. Will there be calm waters ahead? The Rough Sea is John Isaac's dive watch - for now. They don't call it a dive watch because it doesn'
Ochs und Junior Watches
One of my heroes in watchmaking is a man named Ludwig Oechslin. He's the genius behind ultra-complicated watches such as the Ulysse Nardin Trilogy Set, the amazing UN Freak in addition to minimal classics such as the MIH watch. Recently, he the younger Beat Weinmann started a new company, Ochs and Junior (Och und Junior) and their watches are breathtakingly different from anything else out there. Let's take a look, and hopefully you'll see why I'm so excited by them.To start with, Ochs and Junior breaks three of the commandments of Swiss watchmaking: The dials lack all branding
