Rpaige Wrocket Watch By Richard Paige Uses Vintage American Movements, Review
Rpaige? ("R Paige") is a newer watch brand with a vintage soul set up by Mr. Richard Paige... and it has quite a story. What you need to know first is that each Rpaige watch is a limited edition that uses a restored vintage American pocket watch movement produced from between about 1890 and 1930. The watch is called the Wrocket, and there are a few versions available. Let's first talk about Mr. Paige himself - who may be familiar to some of you already.Piage is a 4th generation watchmaker and former watch retailer. He is also responsible for starting the forum Timezone. He is also
CT Scuderia Corsa Watch Review
What we don't suffer from in any short supply are modern wrist watches made to look like vintage sport watches. What we have a lot less of are modern watches meant to look like sport stopwatches. I don't really get why that is. Most serious sport or event timers use dedicated stopwatches to measure time versus a watch on their wrist. Today stopwatches are purely digital, but the tradition of using them continues. Most historic stopwatches - even more so than wrist watches - were designed to be legible and functional.? It would seem to make sense that clever watch makers might try to ad
Breitling Superocean Heritage Chronograph Limited Edition 125th Anniversary Watch
Why does Breitling need to continually tease me? I have really liked the Superocean Heritage line of watch every since they came out a few years ago, and they just keep upping the ante with watches that I want. Well here are the second line of chronograph watches for the collection. The first were simply the Superocean Heritage Chronograph watches with Valjoux 7750 movements, but these limited edition models have a sweet bi-compax subdial array which is infinitely more classic and "heritage" in style. Instead of using a Valjoux 7750 automatic movement, the watches uses a Breitling Cali
J. Crew Military Watch By Timex Watch Review On AskMen
This was honestly not the easiest watch to review. You think it would be simple, but you basically have a limited edition Timex that you are talking about - made for J. Crew of all places (watch style incarnate right?). Regardless of these surface level facts, is a lot more to this watch than meets the eye. You first need to understand a bit about it, and what went in to it. Timex was called upon by J. Crew to design a classic looking military watch that could fall smack-dab in the center of an Americana photo-mosaic. Like stylish jeans, the watch was meant to look pre-vintaged. Like y
Angular Momentum 'Eerie Timepieces' Make Me Wish Everyday Was Halloween
These watches might have Corum skull watches beat. They at least match them! These two watches are part of Angular Momentum's Artisan collection Eerie Timepiece line and have illustrative names such as "A Heap of Luminous Skulls" and "Juicy Skulls." I really love these watches, and am just awestruck at the variety of wonderful watch art pieces coming out of Angular Momentum. The most important aspect of these two watches is the luminant, and it is the basis of the "Eerie" theme. It is done using a proprietary compound known as ??mail Lumineuse, that will glow for roughly 30 hour
