this 1940s Omega and Tissot chronograph is a classic vintage piece
We know some other brands were of this style of bracelet in the past, but we continue the light on vintage Tissots. It is strange that Breitling would take a signal of design by the small brother of their arch-rival, Omega, don't you think? Then, we do always agree with what is Breitling. In any event, this 1940s Omega and Tissot chronograph is a classic vintage piece and $ 1900 you can do a hell of lot worse. Click here for the deets.
Zenith Pilot Montre d'Aeronef Type 20 GMT 1903 Watch Celebrates The Wright Brothers
110 years ago today Wilbur and Orville Wright achieved the first self-powered flight of an aircraft with their plane named "Flyer." That was on December 17th, 1903 in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. In honor of this occasion, Swiss watchmaker Zenith has released a new limited edition aviator watch as part of their Pilot collection know as the Pilot Montre d'Aeronef Type 20 GMT 1903, and I never thought I'd be writing about the Wright Brothers twice in less than a week. Tutima Grand Classic Chronograph Watch
Nice timepiece and something pretty different from Tutima right? I got to check out this watch direct from Tutima who was nice enough to show it to me while I was at JCK in Las Vegas. This is one of Tutima's new timepieces that was released at Basel and represents a bold look maintaining a very high level of functionality. Tutima is located in Glashutte Germany right around a few other famous German watch brands. What I really like about the watches is that you can see a Tutima watch from the 1920s and you can recognize it as being from the same brand as Tutima watches of today.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie, Thoughts On The Most Complicated Watch In The World
After writing a few articles about this watch I wanted to step back and think about it a bit. To be "the world's most complicated watch," even for a short period of time is quite a feat. This is measured in terms of "complications" which tend to have generally accepted definitions and can be enumerated to watch industry professionals and enthusiasts. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie has 26 complications. If you could count its functions, the number does not reach 26 of course. In fact, let's count the number of functions that it has in a nutshell. It shows t
Time Tutelary One Watch Winder Review: Affordably Gets Job Done Without Fuss
This is the first review were I took something apart because of past negative experiences with similar products. I needed to make sure that it was mechanically and electronically up to snuff before I could recommend it - but more on that later. You need a watch winder if you have any automatic mechanical watches. This takes the hassle out of winding your automatic watches when you aren't wearing them for more than a day or so. This is especially important if you have many automatic watches. I have had no less than a dozen watch winders in less than four years, and not all of them are "
