Top 10 Watches At SIHH 2014
The aBlogtoWatch team has just returned from the 2014 edition of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie watch trade show in Geneva - otherwise known as the SIHH. If you aren't already aware of what this show is about; it is one of a few major watch trade events each year where new products are debuted. SIHH is operated by the Richemont Group and a few other participating brands. There are about 16 brands that show there. The other major Swiss watch trade show is Baselworld that happens later in the year around March - and a lot more brands present there. SIHH is an important ev
Richard Mille RM036 Watch With G-Force Meter
If you are a fan of Monty Python then you are a fan of comedy frequently derived from irony, and often from absurdity. Consider me such a fan, and I have a feeling that Mr. Mille falls into this same camp. At SIHH 2013 my enduring image of him is sitting in a chair and speaking energetically with his hands. On the one hand you have a rather fragile tourbil
Cartier Calibre Chronograph Watch
In 2010 Cartier released a brand new collection of men's watches called the Calibre. It was rather revolutionary for the brand for a couple of reasons, bringing Cartier's men's collection into the 21st Century. It was also a mass produced watch that contained an in-house made Cartier movement - something that previously only existed in their most high-end pieces.I knew the Calibre would be a hit from the start when I first discussed it here. It was handsome, the right size, and very much what a modern guy wanted in a Cartier. Sure models like the Santos and Roadster would always be po
H. Moser & Cie Moser Perpetual Moon Watch
New this year from H. Moser & Cie is the high-end Moser Perpetual Moon watch. Perfect for people who love the look of H. Moser & Cie watches, and want a moon phase complication. Here the interesting stuff is in the fact that the moon phase indicator doesn't need to be adjusted for 1000 years, and that the watch has a small, centrally mounted 24 hour hand. Not my top choice for an H. Moser & Cie piece, but not half-bad. Priced a bit north of $30,000 in 18K rose gold.Read my H. Moser & Cie Moser Perpetual Moon watch article at Haute Living here.Best MatchIte
