Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec GMT FourX Watch Review
Carl F. Bucherer is a brand that I think you'll be hearing a lot more about in the next several years and today I'd like to review the Patravi TravelTec GMT FourX (ref. 00.10620.08.33.01). While the "Carl F. Bucherer" brand is relatively new, the history of the company is impressive. Many people who frequent Switzerland and watch store hub locations will be familiar with the name "Bucherer." Indeed, the chain of watch retailers is related to this brand. For much of the watch brand's life they wanted to remain independent from the retailers, but I have a feeling that they are going to f
Tudor Heritage Ranger 79910 Watch For 2014
For those of you rolling your eyes at the litany of five and six-figure watches being announced at Baselworld, set your jaded peepers on the new Tudor Heritage Ranger. Situated as their entry-level sport watch, the Ranger is Tudor's everyday practical piece for the growing US market. Based on a design from the late sixties, the Tudor Ranger adds the typical Tudor flare to the field watch aesthetic and offers strap options to spare. We keep liking Tudor's "Heritage" collection of watches for their style, timelessness, and of course fair (luxury) pricing. The Tudor Heritage Ranger ref. 7
iPhone App Smart Enough To Read Watch Names
When "Watch Radar" sent me an e-mail about their new iPhone app that is able to detect the name of a watch just by looking at the dial I was intrigued. Until now we've all had to read the name of a brand on a watch dial to know what it is - but no longer. Finally technology has come to the rescue. Using the camera on your iPhone, the Chinese made Watch Radar app takes a picture of the said watch and uses its whiz-bang technology to scan the internet and read the name for you. Wow! It even goes so far as to pull data from the net and give you some brand history. Now this is the future.
Jorg Gray JG 6500: The President Barack Obama Watch Review
This is probably the most popular watch of 2009 - even around the world. It is the main watch that President Barack Obama wears, and has worn since before he was elected President of the US. Obama received the watch for his 46th birthday by the Secret Service in August of 2007. He's been seen countless times wearing the watch, while in public, conducting state business, and during his personal time. It is a curious thing that what was such an obscure brand of special order corporate gift watches, is now almost a major brand. But like many have stated, you cannot buy better publi
Nautica NMX 400 Watch With Five Movements
This is a big and bold watch if I have ever seen one. Part of me likes the watch, part of me is a bit freaked out by it. The 58mm wide monster from Nautica is certainly inspired by brands like Ikepod and N.O.A. Nautica's result is the brand new Nautica NMX 400 you see before you (which looks nothing at all like the NMX 300). As part of the Timex Group, Nautica has been releasing some quite nice (and reasonably priced) watches as of late. Plus, they can enjoy wide distribution, so this watch won't just be a nice picture , you can actually get one in at a retail location. Still NM
