Da Vindice Tourbillon Barometer Weather Station Watch
I think there must be something in the water in Switzerland. How else could you explain the multitude of, well, non-traditional complications getting placed into mechanical watches lately? While I hadn't heard of Da Vindice previously, their latest model certainly made me take notice. They've taken something that I've only previously seen implemented in fully digital outdoors watches (ie, the Casio ProTrek line) and paired it with a, dare I say, whimsical tourbillon implementation. The function in question is a barometer and it is part of the 2014 Da Vindice Tourbillon Barometer timepi
Montblanc Timewalker World Time Hemispheres Watch Review
We wore a new Montblanc Timewalker model for a little while during SIHH, so we thought you should know a little bit about it. There seems to have been a resurgence in world-timer watches these days among many brands. In many ways this is understandable given the increasingly global nature of our world. No longer is the simple GMT adequate anymore. Knowing only two time-zones is so pass¡§| when world-timers offer the possibility of reading off all the time-zones of the world at one glance. Well all of the "normal" timezones. We like to conveniently forget the dozen or so places who deem i
Bremont Supermarine Watch Now More Super With The S2000
The biggest "cultural" difference between the Bremont Supermarine 500 and the Supermarine 2000 (aka S2000 - no, not like the Honda) is the little text at the bottom of the dial. The Supermarine replaces the old "Swiss Made" with simply "London." Does that mean the S2000 is not Swiss made? No. Instead, it shows that Bremont has come a long way in its ongoing journey to be a serious British luxury brand. It wants people to know that it is English through and through, and will eventually lead to movements made in the UK as opposed to Switzerland. The Supermarine 500 remains my favorite Br
Seiko Sportura Kinetic Diver Watch Winner Follow-Up
Winner of the Seiko Sportura Kinetic Diver watch shares his thoughts and some pictures of himself enjoying the watch. Thanks Jason and enjoy!Words from the winner on this Seiko:"There is a lot to love in this watch, considering the retail price of $595: sapphire crystal, ratcheting clasp on the bracelet, a blackened-steel bezel, solid end-link bracelet, and a set it and forget it kinetic movement. The fit and feel of the case, bezel and bracelet are what you would expect from Seiko - solid. The design is a big plus - not a Submariner or Seamaster clone, but a unique design. The watc
CX Swiss Military Hurricane Watch Review
One of my favorite watches from last year was the CX Swiss Military Watch 20,000 Feet Diver (that I reviewed here). The titanium bubble cased watch was a hit for me, being over the top but totally a tool watch at the same time. While it is a behemoth to wear, it is fun, and well-done. Not to mention quite unique.CX Swiss Military watches tend to be hit and miss for me, but I am usually impressed by their limited edition models. These are often much more interesting than their standard collection, and feature a lot more design and attention by CX. The newest limited edition watch that
