Cartier Rotonde Small Complication Watches Now In Steel
The world of Cartier has a range of timepiece levels. This includes the brand's "Classics," which represent their more mainstream watches with relatively simple movements, the "Fine Watchmaking" arena of much higher-end complications and haute horology, and finally, the middle area of "Small Complications." This is "small," as opposed to "grand," in the arena of timepieces, where the latter refers to what is much more complex and, of course, expensive. What we can find in the Cartier Rotonde Small Complication watches might be considerable value, especially with the new Rotonde de Cart
Gustafsson & Sjogren Winter Nights Watch
Only 10 pieces of the Winter Night watch will be produced by the Swedish team Gustafsson & Sjogren. In a way this watch is the accumulation of everything they have been working toward. That being a totally Damascus steel case, dial, crown, and movement plate. You either love or hate the look of hand-folded and forged metal. Linde Werdelin might have been the first to disseminate marketing comic imagery online (that I know of), but Urwerk had published comic content as far back as 2008 (republished here - thanks Ian). Now luxury brand Urwerk offers a new comic strip (see below to check it out). I think
Mondaine Railway Giant Watch Review
This is a new way of enjoying something old. Since the 1980's the classic Mondaine Official Swiss Railways watch design has been a staple of affordable good design. That it was easy to read, was merely a significant plus. The look has been adapted in a million ways, with each still feeling relatively fresh. Here is the Mondaine Railway Giant watch - a contemporary interpretation on a minimalist look, that is surprisingly more minimalist. To be honest, I don't quite get the "Giant" part of the name. This isn't a giant watch. Although it wears large due to the thin bezel. The case is pol
