Breitling Chronomat GMT New Model!
Breitling has finally released a new movement (sort of) with their 04 class! It resides in the new Breitling Chronomat GMT, which is just the day before. Its a terrible 47 mm Chronomat with a GMT complication. And as the Rolex GMT II and of the Omega Seamaster, the main hand of 12 hours is used for the local time and is indexed on the date, so it can more easily be used for travel. A nice touch and a good blow on a part of the Breitling do that instead the opposite is much less useful for travel. The only thing which lack this watch is a window 24 hours a day. Instead, you get a diving-account countdown bezel and 24-hour scale is printed on the dial. However, I think more interesting is the possibility that buyers can now purchase a Chronomat in a larger format 47 mm.
Omega takes the look of classic Omega timepieces
Omega takes the look of classic Omega timepieces and combines with the modern of the Speedmaster case look. It is an interesting drop-down list box. You also get the logo style vintage Omega red. The needle of the hours arrow blend well with the needle of the minutes dagger and the old style numerals. The tachometer bezel complements the Speedmaster character. The back of the watch probably has some etching on the theme of the Olympic Games. The size is probably about 42 mm wide and the watch will be steel. Inside of the watch is Omega co-axial 3888 calibre automatic movement - which is likely to certified chronometer. Functions more or less include a 12-hour chronograph and day date calendar. A very cool and functional design perfectly awaken our thoughts of Omega and the Olympic Games. Only thing they have left was the logo of Olympic rings as the counterweight on the chronograph seconds hand - but that he would have obstructed the dial too. Price will be available early next year of
Arnold & Son Royal TES Tourbillon With A Sapphire Twist
We have said this before and will say it again: the tourbillon, as visually arresting and technically challenging of a complication as it is, over the course of the last decade or so, has become more and more?widely available, with just about any and all higher-end brands?featuring it in their portfolios. The?Arnold & Son Royal TES Tourbillon manages to spice things up just enough to render?the "whirlwind" in watchmaking?more?refreshing and fascinating, all the?while?leaving this?over 2-century-old invention nearly perfectly intact. So how?does Arnold & Son's achievement justif
Swatch Random Ghost SUOK111 Watch Has 15,120 Possible Dials
Timepieces like the Random Ghost (ref. SUOK111) are examples of how Swatch made inexpensive timepieces cool in the 1980s, and how Swatch's artistic way of approaching wristwatches is still extremely relevant today. The Random Ghost is in the New Gent collection and is a totally transparent watch with a colorful, exposed quartz movement. The reason Swatch calls it the "Random Ghost" is because the pieces of the movement are colored and chosen at random when the watch is produced resulting in 15,120 possible color combinations. This effectively means that you'll be hard pressed to find t
Cartier Calibre Astrotourbillon Watch
Over the last few years my interest and respect for Cartier has really grown. Sure, a lot of their timepieces are mass produced, but they have a penchant for good, lasting design. No doubt I am not a fan of all of their watches, but little escapes from their manufacture without being really good for at least some people. Good design - as I am learning more and more - is not easy. Designing something to look outstanding and really cool for 5 minutes is really not that hard. Executing a design that looks good each time you look at it, for years, isn't so easy. In this department, Cartier
