Alain Silberstein watch bands are among the most preferred watch bands
Many of us do not think twice before buying a watch band to replace the original damaged or broken one. However, for those who are fashion conscious, the task of choosing the right band is a cautious and more time consuming one. It is important to choose a watchband that syncs perfectly with your watch and more importantly with your style. Otherwise the mismatch can be too glaring. Alain Silberstein watch bands are among the most preferred watch bands because they allow you to make a style statement
Jaquet Droz The Charming Bird Automaton Watch Sings And Dances
Museum objects produced by Jaquet Droz and his contemporaries (seen here) in the 18th century often take the form of automaton birds geared to emulate in eerie detail actual birds complete with movement and sound. Bird songs were produced by moving a piston style tube in and out of a shaft rapidly. A small air hole would whistle, sounding remarkably like a real bird. The mechanical bird figurines were designed to often have moving heads, wings, and even beaks. These machines were often parts of ornate clocks. For the first time ever, Jaquet Droz has produced a miniature automaton bird
Edmond Pole Guardian Watch Review
This here is the Edmond Pole Guardian watch. When I first learned about it I was taken by the innovative dial, and then I started to ask myself what the name meant. It sort of sounds like a car racing term - like "pole position" - but I don't think that is it. Perhaps it is in honor of a flag pole that needs protection? Not likely. In fact the name has to do with protecting the Earth's poles. How it protects our planet's poles, I am not sure, but it is certainly a nice gesture.Edmond watches are designed by Jean-Pierre Edmond. A French industrial designer who started his career in th
Frederique Constant Maxime Manufacture Watches
Back in 2009 I wrote about the in-house FC-700 automatic movement by Frederique Constant, as well as the Maxime Manufacture watch that it came in. Since then Frederique Constant released the Maxime Manufacture watch (in steel at 42mm wide), and the Maxime Manufacture Lady (in various materials at 39mm wide). Here you see images of them both. For under $3,000 (about $4,500 even for fancy versions with diamonds), this is a really nice deal for a manufacture movement.I admire the decoration on the movement and the rotor for the price, and that the brand takes the movement seriousl
Azimuth Mr. Roboto Watch Available On James List
I have to admit that I always wanted one of these Mr. Roboto watches from Azimuth. As part of their Mecha collection this large tonneau shaped watch had some interesting complications and was 100% thematically in honor of vintage wind-up robot toys. Prototype designs of the watch has a normal crown, but when it was finally released in 2008 the watch has a "winding key" style crown. The dial of the steel watch looks like a robot face, but it is all functional! The two "eyes" each have discs in them covered in lume as well as lume covered arrow indicators. The left eye is for the time
