the new Burberry Constellation with pie-pan dial can live up to our expectations
A collection that celebrates its 60th anniversary and a specific model or design that has been in the collection for 30 years ¨C like the Manhattan ¨C is something worth celebrating or at least worth mentioning.I hope the new Burberry Constellation with pie-pan dial can live up to our expectations! The preview photo of the pie-pan dial, diamond shaped hour markers and dauphin hands looks very promising.
Shinola Runwell Chronograph 41mm Watch
Shinola is very likely a brand that needs no introduction to readers of this site. They seem to be one of the few bright spots of good news hailing from my old stomping grounds of Detroit. They've released a variety of well-designed leather goods, bicycles, and three-hander watches. On the watch front, they're upping the ante by adding a new size to one of their more popular models, the Runwell Chronograph. It's not surprising to hear that the new model is simply called the Runwell Chrono 41mm. As with their other models, this is a quartz-driven piece. This model uses their Argonite 50
Tissot PRS 516 Extreme Automatic Watch
For 2013,?Tissot has taken one of our favorite families in their collection and updated it with an "Extreme" model. We were pretty sure that after the "extreme" label was overused on everything from deodorant to caffeine drinks several years ago, its use would have been reserved to actual extreme situations. To be honest, ask us what an "extreme" watch is and we'd have to think it over for a while... maybe a watch that yells and then explodes? That would be pretty extreme. Despite the generic label which tends to merely mean "new," this modern update on the PRS 516 is looking to be a n
Chopard L.U.C Louis Ulysse Tribute Convertible Watch
The idea of taking a wrist watch and transforming it into a pocket is less common than the other way around. Having a piece that can go back and forth between wrist watch and pocket watch is much rarer still. Sure it is a novelty, but I think it is one that Chopard executes rather nicely in the case of their new L.U.C Louis Ulysse watch. L.U.C (I am just going to write LUC for brevity) labeled watches in the Chopard line as those that have their in-house made movements. At least this is my understanding. LUC might even stand for Louis Ulysse Chopard, not 100% clear on this. Well nevert
JC/DC Gummy Me Watch
Fashion designer JC/DC (Jean-Charles de Castelbajac) once again works with Hong Kong based watch maker O.D.M (ODM) in this interesting and whimsical watch called the "Gummy Me." Done in silicone, the watch in its entirety looks like a sort of rabbit-like creature. The eyes are two small LCD screens that tell the time (hours for one eye, minutes in the other). Coming in four colors it is strange, it is fun, and it is probably not destined to find a home on most people's wrists - but some will love it.JC/DC refers to the design as an alien rabbit - something that should be
