the features of the new Ball watch
Beneath the sapphire glass there is an appealing guilloche dial with a sun-brushed sector. It indicates central hours and minutes. The small seconds tick away in the counter at 6 o'clock. This sub-dial is counterbalanced by a big date exhibition window at 12 o'clock. The audience can also enjoy a version, powered by a chronograph movement. A black alligator leather strap with a safety buckle completes the features of the new Ball watch.
Patek Philippe 5990/1A (5990) Nautilus Steel Watch
I scream, you scream, we all scream for steel Pateks! Even a casual watch enthusiast will likely recognize the importance of a Baselworld where Patek Philippe launched two new complicated steel watches. We showed you the new 5960 annual calendar chronograph here, but now it's time to check out my favorite of this new duo from Patek, the 5990 Nautilus. Combining the chronograph capability of the 5980 with the dual time zone complication of the 5164A Aquanaut, the 5990 offers two sporting complications in an attractive and versatile package from one of the biggest names in watchmaking.
Hublot Classic Fusion Skeleton Tourbillon 45mm Watches
This is the Hublot watch for people who don't traditionally like Hublot. It is in the Classic Fusion collection and has a skeletonized tourbillon movement. To be honest, I sort of get a sense of glee when I post a picture of a Hublot watch on my wrist, share it on Instagram (aBlogtoWatch), and people battle over whether it is wonderful or hideous in the comments. Whether they are beauties or beasts is really not the issue, but rather that this determination is so fantastically subjective. I like to see the opinions squirm and fight.I just learned that this will be the 50th Hublot arti
Girard-Perregaux ww.tc Shadow Watch Review
This beauty was a delight to review - which is often the case with high-end Swiss pieces from brands such as Girard-Perregaux. Called the "Shadow" this watch is a unique sports version of Girard-Perregaux's iconic ww.tc watch collection. "ww.tc" stands for "world wide time control." It should however be called "world wide time viewing," but the Swiss are sort of control freaks. If they are able to come out with a watch that controls time, I will certainly be asking to review one.For years I have looked at the ww.tc watches with respect. There have been a number of versions released co
PHARAO To Be Most Accurate Atomic Clock In Space
Apparently terrestrial atomic clocks aren't accurate enough for some people, so a French team is taking the concept of an atomic clock into space. Keep reading to see just how accurate it is. Atomic clocks are extremely important in today's world. Telecommunications, the Internet, all major media sources, and an incredible list of important things we take for granted rely of timing and scheduling accuracy. The more accurate the better really - and the modern world literally could not operate as it does without such precision timing. Plus, there is a whole realm of scientific testing th
