Ballast Valiant BL-3105 Skeleton Automatic Watch Review
What do you get when you combine a large, sporty dive-style case with a skeletonized mechanical movement? Something like this Ballast Valiant ref. BL-3105-02 watch. A piece like this doesn't fit into any of the traditional watch categories and that is because this, my friend, is what we call a fashion watch. Does that make it bad? No. It just means that it isn't the type of thing hardcore watch nerds will gravitate to. Awesome Ernst Benz Chronoflite GMT Watch
This was easily one of my favorite watches of JCK Las Vegas and my current favorite Ernst Benz watch. I consider this to sort of be a Rolex Explorer II on steroids, the 47mm wide steel case size might have a bit to do with that. Well, now our grand prize giveaway winner, Mr. Andrew E. and I will be fulfilling the experience at the headquarters of Frederique Constant this week. This will be the first time either of us will build a watch. Frederique Constant boasts some nice in-house designed and produced movements, an
The Mk II Fulcrum American Milsub Dive Watch
Mk II is widely known for not only being one of the first online micro brands but also for producing a great many well made homages to many a great sport and military watch of the past. Mk II is run by a perfectionist named Bill Yao, who transitioned from modding Seiko divers to making his own watches for an adoring online crowd that frequently pre-orders new models long before they will be delivered. The latest model to be announced by Mk II is called the Fulcrum and it's being advertised as an "American Milsub" and it's Mk II's vision of a?theoretical milsub made for the American mil
