Been a fan of the new Chrono Hawk watches from Girard-Perregaux but really been waiting for one on a bracelet? When the collection debuted in late 2012 they were on rubber-lined leather straps in black or brown. The sister collection of Sea Hawk dive watches that debuted at the same time were on rubber straps. While decent looking, I personally always felt that this was a watch collection in need of a bracelet to really complete the theme - especially the Chrono Hawk. A Piaget dive watch?! Oh yes, and here is the proof. Get ready to go underwater in your black bow tie. I was pretty amazed to discover this watch that was made in the mid 1990s. It is very difficult to find information on this watch by the way. I believe it is called the Piaget Polo Key, but it is Ref. 250020 no. GOA22036. I think it is pretty neat - but how primitive does the case look by today's standards? Hamilton Seaview Automatic Diver Watch
What is different about this Hamilton Seaview Automatic Diver watch? I thought about this question for a little while before writing anything down. I know I have seen the nautical almost art deco themed font used for the numbering before. The font is sort of an amalgamation of everything ocean-worthy and futuristic from 1920 -1970. Gently shaded, the large applied number totally make the watch. Without them it would be just another passable for forgettable Hamilton watch. The watch is pretty big too at 46mm wide, and the relatively small numbers on the rotating diver's bezel don't help
