Roger Dubuis Excalibur 42 Watch
Scattered in this article and in the image gallery below are some images from Roger Dubuis' 2012 ad campaign for the Excalibur collection. I don't know who they hired for this and other ads, but when I saw them I was like "whoa....!" The fantasy loving Tolkeinist inside of me was like "holy crap, finally a wrist watch for Middle Earth denizens." With a name like "Excalibur" it is no surprise that they would take a fantasy-style medieval approach to the artwork for the ads. Though it was done in a way not like what you often see in the snooty and conservative world of expensive timepiec
Prometheus Baiji Watch Giveaway
Prometheus just released their newest watch called the Baiji. The piece is meant to honor the now extinct freshwater dolphin species that was obliterated due to human intervention and pollution in their home waters in China. Baiji were incredible creatures and representative of an extremely rare class of Freshwater dolphins. There is an outline of one on the rear of the watch case. The watch itself is in steel (with a black PVD coated version) and is 43mm wide. There are various dial colors available with most having both SuperLumiNova and Tritium gas tubes on the dial. Inside the watc
Bell & Ross BR02-92 Carbon Fiber And Phantom Watches
Bell & Ross has not forgotten about you BR02 lovers! The BR02 is Bell & Ross's most modern dive watch and a piece that, I think, has gone too far under the radar in the last few years. It makes sense that with all their focus on vintage/heritage/original aviation pieces there wasn't very much room in the spotlight for a thoroughly modern Bell & Ross diving watch. Here is a bit of attention for the collection, though, in the form of two new pieces that borrow heavily from some of the coolest BR01 watches from a few years ago. I am glad that Bell & Ross look
Revelation R-01 Tourbillon Watch
Here is something new. I just learned about Revelation watch and am rather impressed with some of the elements in this watch. When it will be ready I have no idea, but there are a few things neat about this piece. Most notable is the dial that goes from solid to clear. Meaning you can have a more traditional flat black dial with hour indicators, or one that is totally open with a view into the movement. Well, that is the basic idea at least. The Revelation R0-1 timepiece has a complex movement called the TM01 (which is reportedly in-house made). It is manually wound with 48 hour
Bell & Ross BR01-93 GMT AND BR01-92 Gold Ingot Watches: So opposite, So The Same
Both of these watches are Bell & Rosses, and both are BR01 watches. Though they are like twins separated at birth. One went the path of luxury while the other spent their years in a discipline rich military environment. I like that two personalities can come from the same type of origin, and both are useful watches in their own respect. The first watch is a new one, but it was announced a while back. it is the Bell & Ross BR01-93 GMT. Previous to this, only the BR03 watch had a GMT model, and it was a bit smaller than the BR01.The BR01-93 GMT is currently one of
