Marvin Origin M125 Watch Review
Marvin Origin M125, dial and case"Wow, that's pretty." -- ?said my wife when I opened the box. After a few weeks on the wrist, I have to concede that yeah, pretty is the adjective here. We've reviewed other Marvins here on the site, but this one, it's a different beast. This is from their Origin collection, the M125 series. Rose gold PVD over stainless steel, galvanized blue dial with sunray finish, applied gold markers, painted minute markers, crocodile-patterned calfskin strap. It's pretty. Let's look closer. As the light changes, the mirror-polished hands go from standout to nearly
GIVEAWAY: Wryst Airborne Watch
Limited to just 75 pieces total, the Wryst Airborne FW3 is one of those modern-looking sport watches designed with passion and destined to evoke pleasure (or the opposite) in the eye of the beholder. Modern timepiece design is all about polarization, when historically it was about conservatism. Inside the watch is a Swiss quartz chronograph movement. It is weird, it is avant garde, and it is something you'd onl
Ulysse Nardin Moonstruck Watch Review
Like anyone with a penchant for finding science fascinating, I am curious about the sky. Celestial movements up above might not matter much in my daily life, but that doesn't stop me from being interested in most things related to astronomy. For me it is a constant reminder of what our place as humans is in the universe. We are but a speck in the larger scale of the cosmos, and that is somehow comforting to think about when I begin to take my own life too seriously. Astronomy is also the basis of all time. No, not from a physics standpoint exactly, but certainly from a social measuring standp
Tag Heuer Carrera Ring-Master Limited Edition Watches
Japan is one of the best places to buy a Tag Heuer timepiece. Not only do Japanese people think Tag Heuer watches kick-ass, but Tag Heuer is constantly releasing special limited edition watches exclusively for the Japanese market. The weird part is that many of them would do totally well outside of the Japanese market. I need to know exactly what the special relationship is between Tag Heuer's Japanese rep and Mr. Babin (the CEO)!This limited edition collection is based on the popular Carrera model which is big all over the world - only this time with a choice of slick colored
Blancpain 500 Fathoms Titanium Watch
Wow, I did not expect to see something so bold from Blancpain this year. This is a totally new route for their diving watches. At first I was torn about the look (didn't see to be much more than what Invicta could come up with), but then I began to appreciate the more subtle items. Retained are the sapphire crystal tops on the rotating bezel (such a nice feature by the way), and new are the hands, and the face. The hands are really designed for perfect legibility in both light and dark situations, not one or the other which is sometimes the fact. They also remind me of torpedoes. I thi
