HYT H1 Watch
It was crowded at HYT during the press conference. Lots of people went to hear Vincent Perriard discuss the inner workings of the H1, the new watch from his new brand called HYT. Teased for months and then recently debuted, the HYT is a high-end geek watch that aims to combine traditional mechanical watches and liquid. The H1 is the brand's first release, with more liquid-themed watches to come in the future. I caught up with Perriard after the conference to get a special hands-on look and presentation from the man himself on the new watch. If you know Perriard's work in the past you'l
Girard-Perregaux ww.tc Cabinet de Curiosit¡§|s Limited Edition Watch
Did you really like (and want) the special piece unique watch that Girard-Perregaux had auctioned at the 2011 Only Watch Auction? If so (and you weren't that one person to get it), then you sort of have another chance. Aside from the smoked sapphire crystal dial, this limited edition of just five pieces Girard-Perregaux ww.tc Cabinet de Curiosit¡§|s watch has the same cool style with the white ceramic and titanium case. This is essentially the white version of the ww.tc Shadow watch that is part of their regular production right now. They do ceramic cases very well.I wonder what this wo
Edmond Pole Guardian Watch Review
This here is the Edmond Pole Guardian watch. When I first learned about it I was taken by the innovative dial, and then I started to ask myself what the name meant. It sort of sounds like a car racing term - like "pole position" - but I don't think that is it. Perhaps it is in honor of a flag pole that needs protection? Not likely. In fact the name has to do with protecting the Earth's poles. How it protects our planet's poles, I am not sure, but it is certainly a nice gesture.Edmond watches are designed by Jean-Pierre Edmond. A French industrial designer who started his career in th
4N MVT01/D01/42 Watch
Poor us who would love to wear this watch but cannot afford it (now or ever). A truly cool design that I think will appeal to a legion of watch lovers and traditionally non-watch lovers, alike. The time is told in a simple digital manner on four discs. Because there are four numerals (assume it said like 11:25 for the full four numbers). And this is why the brand is called 4N. I think it is sort of funny how brands come about with a plan of just selling one watch. Basically, all future 4N watches can only have 4 numerals right? You see this type of one watch brand pretty often i
Romain Jerome Moon Dust-DNA Mood Series Watches
Sometimes I wonder if Romain Jerome has a watch design sweatshop, hard at work coming out with seemingly fresh derivative models. Other times I think that Romain Jerome's Yvan Arpa just sits in a room and fleshes out all the designs while watching science fiction TV from the mid 20th century. We may never know, but that is part of the mystery behind Romain Jerome watches, one of the only watch companies to do really well financially last year. Well? this new line of Moon Dust DNA watches is more that just a derivative of the others. I basically think that Romain Jerome has promi
