What Is The Right Size Watch For My Wrist? - Ask Watch Experts Questions About Watches
Peter T. from Atlanta, Georgia, USA asks: I am a man with rather large, well, hands. I find it difficult to purchase many watches I would love to add to my collection because my hands seem to dwarf a timepiece with a face smaller than 42-44mm. Is there a proper ratio of face size to hand size, or can the petite face co-exist with the full-handed man. This really goes into the larger question of “what is the proper size watch for my wrist?” The simple answer is that while there is new perfect size for everyone, especially as taste is subjective, there are certain rules wort
Seiko Astron GPS Solar Watch
Forget that it is 2012 and pretend like it is the early 1990's - the time when electronic wrist gadgets were super cool, and the next neat Casio was sure to excite you. The Seiko Astron GPS Solar Watch coming out back then would have been a no brainer superstar. Today however, the Astron GPS Solar must compete with mechanical watches given the over $2,000 price of this limited edition GPS controlled Seiko. Which is ironically strange given the pretty intense level of functionality you get here.Seiko did not invent the GPS controlled watch. Actually, last year, its rival Citizen came o
Ladoire RGT (Roller Guardian Time) GMT Watch
Ladoire is a new Swiss watch makers with an interesting timepiece called the RGT. That is supposed to stand for "Roller Guardian Time," which makes no sense to me, but I will just smooth past that. The watch is unique as a regulator. I think maybe they missed the point of what a regulator watch is supposed to be, as the minute dial is really small, but that is OK. Interestingly enough, on this watch, the major dial along with the biggest hand is dedicated to a second timezone indicator (the GMT hand). If that watch reminds you of Hautlence and MCT watches, that is because they share so
To Switzerland For SIHH and GTE 2010
Maybe a surprise to you, but this is going to be my first trip to Switzerland. Today I embark on a (frustratingly long) flight to Geneva for two important shows. First is the highly exclusive SIHH 2010, put on indirectly by the Richemont Group to celebrate mostly its brands. This gala style event is apparently very high-class, and of course, as always, "by invitation only." I do consider myself lucky having be asking to attend. There I will mingle and see new for 2010 releases of many brands, just a few of which are Audemars Piguet (not part of Richemont), A. Lange & Sohne, Cartier

Even # 10 is still in the "top 10."
